Hey there, I’m Meghan.

I am a therapist who understands and values the complexity that people hold.

Outside of the office, I am passionate about diving into hobbies that provide me with so much joy— riding and fixing motorcycles, cooking and baking, and hanging out with my pit-bull, Mandi Melon.

The rest of this page will give you a detailed look into who I am as a clinician, my value-set, and how I can be helpful to you.

I appreciate working with all different types of folks.  I desire to live in a world that uplifts and honors the voices and lives of historically marginalized groups of people (ie BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, etc). I believe this is necessary.

I maintain that the multiple, diverse social identities we hold (ie race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, etc) are central to how we experience this world. While working together, I will be attuned and present to your identity development, struggle, transformation and integration.

As a mixed-race person, I enjoy working with clients around racial identity understanding and race-based stress. I am also an LGBTQIA+ identified and affirming practitioner and I deeply appreciate working with queer, trans, polyamorous and gender explorative clients. I consistently support clients with various relationship preferences and dynamics (such as ethical non-monogamy) and welcome conversations around BDSM and kink. I enjoy speaking with clients about sexual pleasure and desire and am an ally to sex workers.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, intersectional and relational. This means that I explore how one’s past can affect one’s present and I collaborate with clients and empower them to make positive changes in their lives. You can expect me to facilitate a safe space for you to do the deep work. My approach in session is relaxed, inquisitive, compassionate, and warm.

My work focuses on how trauma and major life events impact individuals on the cognitive (thoughts/head-space), emotional (feelings!) and sensorimotor (body-based/body-sensations) levels. Through extensive training, I have learned and implemented the most comprehensive treatment practices to help individuals heal from past painful experiences and thrive in their current settings.

My past work experience includes: group private practice, outpatient therapy, community mental health, consultation for dual diagnoses (ie mental health and substance use) programming, and intensive outpatient substance use treatment programs with adolescents and adults.
